Maybern has advised on numerous planning applications associated with the North West Preston Masterplan Area, including residential applications for over 700 homes and non-residential proposals.
This includes advising Wain Homes on their land interests with capability of delivering over 700 homes and the delivery of a local centre. We have secured outline planning permissions for phases 1,2 and 3 of their Paddocks, Sandy Lane site to deliver over 700 family and affordable housing units alongside supporting open space, access links and provision for a strategic Park link through the area. Detailed and reserved matters consents have also been granted, units constructed and more detailed approvals are underway. Outline planning permission has also been granted for the local centre to the area to reflect Preston City Council’s aim for the delivery of retail uses including potential convenience store , as well as food and drink floorspace, a medical centre, family pub with hotel, and circa. 50 retirement apartments, with areas of open space and landscaping. Maybern is also advising on numerous live planning applications associated with residential development including a further extension to Wain Homes approved Phase 3 site.
A detailed planning permission was also achieved for a 200 place children’s day nursery at the adjacent Maxy House Farm, that application submitted on behalf of Ashbridge Schools. The Nursery site is also home to The Pantry café as well as a thriving hair and beauty salon. Maybern continues to advise Ashbridge Schools on matters associated with Maxy House Farm, as well as their other sites.
